We hope you are staying safe and healthy during COVID-19. This spring has brought with it some very troubling times, but we want you to know that GO-Cottage is OPEN and so are the Mountains and all essential businesses in Lake Placid. Come enjoy peaceful seclusion in our freshly painted and sparkling clean Studio Cottage.
During times like this, it’s important to maintain your health in every aspect. Alongside washing your hands frequently and taking precautions with social distancing, you need to take care of your mental health too. One of the best ways to do this is by exercising outdoors.
Two of our favorite springtime activities in Lake Placid are hiking and cycling. There are some great trails to chose from within walking distance from GO-Cottage. We love going to Henry’s Woods and Heaven Hill, and you can even bring your dog there as well.
Biking is another wonderful way to get out and breathe in fresh air. You’ll take in some gorgeous views cycling along the River Road Loop and the Notch. The River Road Loop is the long winding flat surface that runs along the beautiful Ausable River the entire way. It’s also very hilly and gives a challenging workout.
The Wilmington Notch ride also runs along the river, but the road has wide shoulders that give the rider a lot of space. And it winds down and around Whiteface mountain.
Breathtaking views and fresh air can really do a lot for your mental well-being. And with everything within walking distance and out in the open, you can still practice social distancing while you’re at it. For your own private sanctuary, book the Studio Cottage here.
Hang in there everyone – we are going to get through this!
