Spring is almost here! We’re certainly happy the temperature is rising. If you like a bit of an adrenaline rush, then it’s the perfect time of year to start rock climbing the Adirondacks! This region is home to 46 peaks and Lake Placid takes pride in the High Peaks. We have some of the most beautiful climbing views in the Northeast. Along with traditional climbing, you can try mountaineering and backcountry cragging.

Some of the most popular Adirondack routes are Henderson Cliff, Avalanche Pass, Gothics, Noonmark, and Rooster Comb.

If you’re in nearby Keene Valley, check out Chapel Pond Slab, the Beer Walls, Upper and Lower Washbowl, Creature Wall, Spanky’s Wall, and the Spider’s Web. (Great names, right?)

The High Peaks Cyclery offers rock climbing tours, which are especially great if you’re beginner, as well as High Peaks mountain guides. And Adirondack Rock is also a handy, comprehensive guide for all the climbing the region has to offer.

So come to the Adirondacks and start exploring. And let us know how your next rock climbing adventures go!

I just want to congratulate you on the exquisite job you did on the Cottages! Did I mention how dreamy the beds are? I had my best night's sleep in weeks. Ahhhhh Oh my god! I just want to move in today. You have such lovely taste. It has such a peaceful aura. We all had a wonderful stay. Thank you again.
