Punxsutawney Phil said spring is coming, and it looks like it is very early this year!

This winter has been pretty mild in Lake Placid. It’s the first year we’ve not had snow in February. Take a look at the cottage five years ago. That’s five feet of snow five years ago. Global warming indeed.

We’re breaking records for the ski resort being closed for the past 3 weeks. Even the Lake Placid Loppet was cancelled, which is a sure sign that spring is around the corner.
Despite the mild month we’ve had, I still say good riddance Old Man Winter! We’ll see what March has to offer but bring on spring!
