The annual IRONMAN Lake Placid is one of our favorite events of the year and it’s coming up July 24th! Thousands of triathletes descend onto the village of Lake Placid each year to swim, bike, and run for IRONMAN’s second oldest American event.

We love our Ironmen and Ironwomen! The course involves swimming across Mirror Lake, biking 112 miles through the Adirondack Mountains, and ending with a full marathon through the mountains and downtown to Lake Placid’s Olympic speed skating oval.

GO-Cottage is an amazing location when it comes to IRONMAN because the course runs right in front of the property. Everyone goes down to the road and brings chairs out to the grass to watch the triathletes racing by. Here’s Grant and his family. He’s our favorite Ironman and a real contender!
