Don’t you love robins? They always seem to signal warmer days ahead for me. I can’t get over how beautiful the color of their eggs are either. And now there’s a new robin’s bird nest under our Cottage eves, for the second year. So it seems robins love GO-Cottage too!
If you want to venture out of your own backyard (or ours!) check out all the birding opportunities in the Adirondacks. Our abundance of lakes, rivers, and trails makes for some very scenic birdwatching.
In Lake Placid alone we have the Jackrabbit Trail, South Meadow, brooks, and Intervale Lowlands Nature Preserve. Check out some of the other great birding trails near Lake Placid. Or you can also venture to nearby Lake Champlain to spot some Ruddy Ducks, Vesper Sparrows, Fox Sparrows, Palm Warblers, or Eastern Screech Owls.
But for now, we have our own little resident robin at GO-Cottage!
