If you have ever been to the Adirondacks or Whiteface Mountain, you know one of the best ways to see the region is by bicycle.

Road and mountain bike paths and trails for all levels wind through forest, across streams, and up mountain ways.  Two of our favorite rides are the River Road Loop and the Notch that winds down and around Whiteface mountain. I love both of these rides and highly recommend checking them out.

What I love about the River Road Loop is the long winding flat surface. No pot holes! It’s perfectly smooth and it runs along the beautiful Ausable River the entire way. It’s also very hilly and gives such a great, challenging workout.

It’s about five or six miles and is seriously one of the best rides in the region. The Wilmington Notch ride also runs along the river, but the road has wide shoulders that give the rider a lot of space.

A really exciting way to take in the scenery on your bike is the Cycle Adirondacks Ultimate Cycling Vacation August 18 – 24th. The Cycle Adirondacks flagship event is a well-planned adventure. It features a six-day supported tour, meals, medical and mechanical support, hiking and canoeing excursions, massage therapy and yoga, and a beer and wine garden. Registration for this year is now closed. But if coming along for the ride, be sure to book your nightly stay at GO-Cottage!

I just want to congratulate you on the exquisite job you did on the Cottages! Did I mention how dreamy the beds are? I had my best night's sleep in weeks. Ahhhhh Oh my god! I just want to move in today. You have such lovely taste. It has such a peaceful aura. We all had a wonderful stay. Thank you again.
