Get ready for the Lake Placid Classic this Saturday! This year marks the 45th anniversary of the half marathon and 10K, which is known for being a “runner’s race” that promotes health and community. Almost all the run entries and sponsorships are being donated to Connecting Youth and Communities, a non-profit organization for local youth.
The course this year goes through the beautiful village of Lake Placid, around the back of Mirror Lake, past the Olympic Ski Jumping Complex, and finishes by the North Elba Horse Show Grounds. Runners can expect an exciting, friendly race with plenty of music, food, and celebration as they cross the finish line.
Whether you’re running in the Lake Placid Classic or cheering our runners on, September 12th is sure to be a fun day spent ringing in Lake Placid’s gorgeous fall season.
